Byron Bay wedding shoot with Kaylene & David

Last month Kaylene & David got married on Watego Beach in Byron Bay in a Bohemian-Vintage inspired wedding. During their private vows to each other there were even whales swimming in the background. However 5 minutes into their location shoot down came the rain and we had to make a quick dash for the car and then onto The Owl & The Pussycat where there reception was being held. A little rain certainly wouldn’t deter me from shooting, but it was torrential.

Kaylene had gone to alot of effort collecting vintage suitcases, antique stools, a Just Married tapestry cushion, an old camera and a beautiful lace vintage wedding dress to change into for the reception, so I couldn’t let the opportunity to photograph what I could envisage to be some amazing wedding day photos, so I offered Kaylene & David the chance to do the shoot another day, so yesterday we headed back to Byron Bay. Luckily for us the weather was glorious and perfect for the photo shoot.

Here is a sneak peek from yesterday’s shoot … Im so glad Kaylene & David took me up on the offer and I got the opportunity to capture these images for them. While they have the beautiful memories of the actual day as it unfolded, rain and all – this was a chance to have some beautiful photos together.

More photos from their wedding day and their location shoot to come soon, but for now enjoy these.

Kaylene & David, it was a real pleasure photographing you yesterday and afterwards hang around and get to know you both better. You two make a gorgeous couple and I loved hearing the story on how you got together – it was my absolute pleasure taking the time out to do this shoot. I hope you love the pics.
